Payroll creating tax record with no amount, and blank tax type.
This appears to have begun after applying the ESUs related to the latest Vertex release upgrade. 4.0+
Payroll began creating a tax detail record with no amount, and blank Tax Type. We've seen this for multiple states. These records are written to tax history. Any explanation why these records are being created? They don't seem to be causing any issues with payroll, since the amount is zero, but they are generating a lot of questions.
Any insight is appreciated.
