Buyers experienced the following error when trying to approve changes to POs in Buyer Work Center:
Yesterday our Buyers experienced the following error when trying to approve changes to POs: "oracle.jbo.AlreadyLockedException: JBO-26030: Failed to lock record, another user holds the lock." This morning they were able to successfully complete and approve the necessary changes; the error had gone, presumably due to the lock having been released.
This is unusual and is the first instance of this error in 4 years of operating Oracle Ebusiness Suite. The only thing that was done differently prior to the error was that Buyer A reassigned the Change notifications to Buyer B. Is it possible that Buyer A still held the lock? know iI would be interested to If anyone else has experienced the same or similar in Buyer Work Center and if the cause and required resolving action can be confirmed.
