Turn Off Encumbrance Accounting

Hi,

Currently, the client has encumbrance accounting turned on. If they want to turn off encumbrance accounting, does Oracle standard allows that?

If yes, then what shall be the prerequisites to achieve this in terms of the accounting entries that need to be passed to take care of offsetting the encumbrance entries for open transactions.

Any pointers in this regard, shall be of help.
