Oracle Database user -- Grid user

Installed a stand alone Grid Infrastructure configuration on a HP server.  The ASM instance is running fine with 2 DGs mounted--owner grid.  I then installed the 12c (12.1.0.2) database software as user oracle.  Installation went fine.  I now have a 12c database connected to the ASM instance.  When the database is started up via srvctl or crsctl, it is starting as the grid user and not oracle.  If I start the database as the oracle account via sqlplus, it is fine.  However, anything running through the cluster software will start the database with the grid user.  Is there a configuration
