Inventory transfer with currency code change

Hello,

We are currently on tools and applications 9.1.  We need to transfer inventory from one branch (in CAD currency) to another branch (in USD).  I've read about P4113 and R47121.  Is there an easier way when dealing with the whole inventory and not just parts of it?  What about currency conversions?  Do we need to manually specify the costs or can some program use an exchange rate and calculate for us?

Any help is appreciated.  We are doing this because we are changing the base currency of the company and instead of doing a complete company currency conversion we are simply creating a new company with new branch plants.
