Need general hints how to upgrade from 11.2.3.3.1 to 12.1.2.1.0 and start using OVM machines

Hi ,

need general hints how to upgrade dbnodes from 11.2..3.3.1 to 12.1.2.1.0 and start using OVM.

Will I need to reimage the servers ?

Currently I have consolidated databases on one node and need to separate 4 CPU virtual  machine for other use.

Supplemental note "Exadata 12.1.2.2.1 release and patch (22106928) (Doc ID 2094446.1)" shows 2 iso repositories for dbnodes

  • Patch 22277123 - Database server bare metal / domU ULN exadata_dbserver_12.1.2.2.1_x86_64_base OL6 channel ISO image
  • Patch 22277124 - Database server dom0 ULN exadata_dbserver_dom0_12.1.2.2.1_x86_64_base OVM3 channel ISO image

Which should I use for current non-OVM configuration, and how should I "create" separated OVM machine ?

Will be greatfull for all hints, what is the general idea, where to find metalink notes ..
