How can I default salesperson on iStore Orders?

I need to populate territory based salesperson_id on istore orders so it can flow through to incentive compensations for sales credits. I am trying to find out the best approach to do this. I would appreciate any input on this as the documentation is not very consistent on this. I see that Oracle Territory Manager is mentioned as one option when discussing the use of 'Default Salesrep'. But the documentation predominantly relates salesrep to sales assistance request created by the customer.
