Siebel 8.1.1.5 and IE compatibility

Hi Team,

Today I faced a strange issue.I am using siebel 8.1.1.5 and was using IE version 8.0. I was able to open siebel web client on this IE version. However somehow my OS got crashed and I had to reinstall the OS. I installed the same IE version but the the updates of patches was not done on the OS. I tries to open siebel application but it could not load the application after I logged in. The IE seemed to be freezed. However when I upgraded the IE to IE9 it worked fine. I am bit surprised to why this
