StuckThread on WebLogic Server related to FDMEE
We are getting a Weblogic Server-Related error referring to a “stuck thread” meaning that one of the threads has been constantly busy for a period of time. I believe this is Weblogic is throwing a “timeout” error. So I don't think this means the system is overloaded, but rather that the Stuck Thread max time setting is set too low.
How do we confirm whether the system is truly over loaded? Our Thread Max Time is set at 600 seconds right now.
At what point is a stuck thread a problem? For example, if we bump up the setting to 1800 seconds and get warned, is it a problem? Or will we just bump it up again? At what point are we just modifying the warning level to mask a problem? Or are we assuming the system is running normal today, and we’re adjusting the threshold accordingly?
