Purge concurrent requests not deleting file system files on second node .

We have Parallel Concurrent Processing set up on app1 and app2 servers.

When the Purge Concurrent Request runs on app1 it only deletes files from the filesystem on app1 and shows *failed to delete for all app2 req and out files.  the same applies when job runs on app2 it doesn't delete files from app1.

This was working when set up but noticed this behaviour recently.

Has some setting changed?

Any help appreciated.
