dmMultipath failures during SAN maintenence

We're running OVM 3.3.3 over 4 OVS hosts.

During a scheduled maintenance of our SAN, a SAN controller (one of 2 redundant controllers) was rebooted.

We noted that after the SAN controller went down, on two (of four)  OVS hosts, a number of errors were reported in /var/log/messages:

Feb 12 08:17:09 OVS_Server_02 multipathd: uevent trigger error

Feb 12 08:17:09 OVS_Server_02 multipathd: sdrn: remove path (uevent)

Feb 12 08:17:09 OVS_Server_02 kernel: device-mapper: table: 252:170: multipath: error getting device

Feb 12 08:17:09 OVS_Server_02 kernel: device-mapper: ioctl: error adding target to table

Feb 12 08:17:09 OVS_Server_02 kernel: device-mapper: table: 252:170: multipath: error getting device
