Link between mtl_material_transactions and mtl_demand_histories

Hello All, Can somebody help me in knowing how and when do we get records in mtl_demand_histories table and what is the linking between mtl_material_transactions and mtl_demand_histories . I have searched many docs but could not get the answer I am looking for . Will appreciate a quick response on the same . Regards, Sakshi Thakur
