Envelope for A/R Statement

With an upgrade about a year away, we are trying to keep development to an absolute minimum.  We are starting to generate A/R statements for the first time and users are stumped as to how these can be accommodated in a window envelope.

I'm wondering if conversion to portrait is inevitable.  How do others handle envelope stuffing while keeping the statement vanilla?
