We have a need to have the same contract number assigned to all the lines of an order in install base and we need the dates of the contract service based on the shipment date.
If we have the OKS: Consolidate Warranty for Multiple shipping set to a yes and the synchronized date installed checked in the Service Availability Setup, we get the same contract for each line assigned with the correct stop and start date in install base. However, we have users that purchase extended warranty.
Our procedure has been to go into Launch contracts and extend the contract time frame for those contracts that are listed in install base.
