Is it possible to Integrate HR Absences to the PUI Timecards in Oracle?

We are currently running on Oracle 12.1.3 and are looking for a way to have employees submit their Absence Requests (such as Vacation, Sick, etc) via the Leave of Absence screens, and then have these approved requests displayed on our PUI timecards (since we do not use self service time).

I've attempted to follow the instructions from the Oracle document (Oracle Time and Labor Release Notes, Release 12.1.2 (Doc ID 970497.1), without success in having the approved absences show up in our time cards.

Our alternative to this would be to go to RFP and look for a new product to satisfy our business requirements, but it would be great if we could achieve this within Oracle, since we currently use Oracle to manage our Time cards and Accrual Balances/banks.
