Entered Currency balances are not cleared

I set up a mass allocation formula to zero accounts at the end of the month.  These transactions can have different currencies.  When I try to run mass allocations using the Total option versus a specific entered currency the Entered amount is not zeroed out.  The functional currency amount is zeroed out.  This does not seem like the intended functionality.  Is there another parameter I need  to set up for the Total Currency option to work?
