Summary line included in Watchlist total record count

I located an FAQ regarding the summary line and record count.

The WL query count includes the summary line in the grid, which is by design.  The generic tool logic can not distinguish which line of grid is real data inserted and which       line is the summary line instead by ER logic. The data line an summary line is business concept and it can not be understand by tools code. As a work around create an advanced query and watchlist on a generic find browse form without Summary line.

1) P03B2002 shows as record 1-1 on the form, however, the grid is blank, not even a summary. How do you know there's a summarized record with the exception of the record 1-1 displaying? The only time I see the summarized record is when a valid record exists.
