I can't change an item status to "Inactive" if there is an on-hand quantity
R12.1.3 I used to be able to do this at the child org level - it was an easy way to stop transactions of a part number due to supersedures, recalls, etc. Now I'm seeing a message "On Hand quantity exists or there are open Deliver transactions for this item. Please process these before changing the attribute".
Why am I starting to see this message and is there a way around it - other than reducing inventory to zero?
