how to figure out number of days back?

I have a processing option that users will enter in number of days like 3, 5 or 7.  I want to figure out the date back from today's date.  So if today's date is 2/23/2016 and users enter 3 in the PO.  I want to get back 2/20/2016 so it means 3 days back.

Is there a system function to do that in a UBE?
