Element to decrease Taxable wages
We have a set of employees paying for health insurance directly. We need to decrease their taxable wages by the amount they pay directly so their taxes are reduced by that pretax deduction they paid directly for.
We are trying to use a pre-tax deduction element but that deducts from their gross earnings and we have to return it as it was already paid for.
Has anyone been in a situation where you needed to reduce the taxable wages? Any ideas on how to address this?
