Scanning UFS filesystem for corrupted files
Hi,
1 of the system panicked and user found that the /etc/passwd file was corrupted and caused the OS not able to be booted up.
User recovered the system by booting into single user mode using media and fix the passwd file.
The OS is able to boot up now.
Is there any tool that can scan the filesystem for corrupted files?
Is fsck or BART the way to do it?
Please advise.
Thanks
