4 Network adapters

edited Mar 2, 2016 10:07AM in Database - RAC/Scalability (MOSC) 2 commentsAnswered ✓

I've configured a 3 node , 11204, RAC  using oracle virtual box. I had configured 3 network adapters, 1 for public network, 1 for private network and 1 for internet. But I see 4 adapters somehow. Is there a way I can delete the wrong one (the one with state of UNKNOWN and having IP starting with 169) ? The same information is displayed from other 2 nodes of the cluster as well.

oracle@rac1 [/home/oracle ]

$ oifcfg iflist -p

eth0  192.168.0.0  PRIVATE

eth1  10.168.1.0  PRIVATE

eth1  169.254.0.0  UNKNOWN

eth2  192.168.0.0  PRIVATE

oracle@rac1 [/home/oracle ]

$ ifconfig -a

eth0      Link encap:Ethernet  HWaddr 08:00:27:88:19:A6

          inet addr:192.168.0.71  Bcast:192.168.0.255  Mask:255.255.255.0

          inet6 addr: fe80::a00:27ff:fe88:19a6/64 Scope:Link
