about deployment page in OAT

Hi:

can deployment page be used with depreciable and normal item without project? recently i asked this question in MOSC and i was told that the deployment page can only be used for normal item with project, is it right? if the answer was yes, what shold i do if some of my depreciable item need to be used in a field location (aka, i need to get it out of inventory but not retire it) ?

Plus, when im using the 12.2.5 demo environment, i found out there are many seeded depreciable item which can be used in deployment page, but when i manually created a item instance and received it into inventory, i can never find it in the deployment page, what's the reason??
