how to change the home directory in solaris 11

Hi

I am setting up my first solaris 11 server in order to move our solaris 10 servers to it.  I am not doing any sort of dual-boot or live update.

In the past I have the home directory as /home1 and I disable autofs.  There are many reasons I cannot change that home directory.

I feel if I rename the zfs /export directory to /home1, it will cause problems.  Some posts have said that even after seeing the home directory to something else, it does not stay that way when autofs is enabled, or something like that.

Can I just disable autofs or comment out the entry in auto_home?  We do not use nfs to mount home directories (or much else) so I don't need that.

Howdy, Stranger!
