Media object File attachmments always read only

Hello,

We are attaching pdf documents as order header attachments using P4210. These are media object attachments. We are trying to see if we can add sticky notes onto the PDF media object attachments that are already on the sales order. Unfortunately our media object attachments only open up as read only. How do I get around it, is it possible to not open media object attachments as read only. I want to try to add the sticky notes to the PDF media objects.
