How I can update a Contract Purchase Agreement type PO programmetically from database; Any API ?

We are developing an Custom Interface program to create the CPA type PO through open interface agreement import program. But I am not finding any API to update the contract field such as agreed amount or amount limit etc.

What is the suggested way to update those fields from backend program ?

Appreciate your help as this information will help us big way as we are stuck.
