What is the difference between 11i and R12 transfer to GL with perspective of detail and Summary

Dear Gurus,

in 11i we were able to transfer to GL in details, but after upgrade, it is by default in Summary and it can't be changed. How do we achieve and test the transfer to GL in detail. please provide a case with example, if possible.
