Negative Balance at Period End Affecting Item Cost

HI -

First of all we are NOT allowing negative balance in the organization parameters ..

But , as you know , if you have onhand today , you can issue it any day in the past even if this transaction will drive inventory negative in the transaction date ..

for example :

31/Jan   item x onhand = 0

1/feb   Receive 10 eaches , the onhand becomes = 10

2/feb    Issue 5 eaches where transaction date = 31/jan , this will drive the onhand in 31/jan to be = -5

when this happens between two periods , it could drive the end balance to be negative , which clearly affect the cost equation and ruin the item cost ..

* I know that there is profile option to control transactions in the past [INV: Transaction Date Validation] , to stop it all or make it available just in the current period , and both options don't fit our business needs.
