Methods to identify Logical and Physical Corruption.

Team,

         Can some one explain the tools that will detect physical and logical corruption. We know that we have many tools like export, dbverify and rman check logical. My question is which utility will detect physical and logical corruption and the methods used to resolve physical and logical corruption. If someone can explain inter and intrablock corruption would be of great help.
