Purchasing & iProcurement

Hi

We already have purchasing module in our system and raising requisition's for items with Internally set up with our system Item number. If we have to implement Procurement ,please let me know how it will benefit us and what are the advantages of having iPROC??Do we still need to have Purchasing module after implementing procurement.

Please let me know the major difference.I tried checking but could not find the exact benefits of implementing and also how it will help our system which is raising requisitions for internal items setup in inventory. Need to know implementing will impact the current report.
