Is it okay to update the Payment Terms on Transaction Type

Hello,

We have a Transaction Type - "ABC Debit Memo" with payment terms "2% 30, Net 31". This transaction type is used in many Transactions (Debit Memos).

Now, we have a requirement to change the payment terms used in transaction type "ABC Debit Memo" to "IMMEDIATE".

We are on R12. Please let me know if it is okay to update the Payment Terms on Transaction Type. Does this cause any issues? What are the things that we should consider before making such changes?

Please note that we are not making any changes to any of the Payment Terms. We just want to change the assignment of payment terms to a particular Transaction Type (ABC Debit Memo).
