Orachk does not recognize DB instance when SID is prefix of another SID

Depending on the start order of the instances resp. the process ID of the corresponding PMON process, OraChk may or may not discover an instance if the SID is a prefix of another SID.

(The system is not running Oracle Grid Infrastructure resp. Oracle Restart).

 

oracle@walhall:/u00/app/oracle/tools/orachk/ [rdbms12102] ./orachk

 

List of running databases
1. EMREP
2. TVD12CDB
3. All of above
4. None of above

 

Select databases from list for checking best practices. For multiple databases, select 3 for All or comma separated number like 1,2 etc [1-4][3].^C
