Employee with Labor Schedule Deleted in HR - Now GMS_Balances has orphan encumbrances
We had an employee who was created in HR, and had a labor schedule attached to them for a specific project. The employee never started, so instead of terminating the HR record, they deleted the HR record. No payroll had ever been run against the record, so Oracle let that go through. However, that left orphan encumbrance records in the gms_balances table for the salary and fringe. Has anyone had an issue like this? I am looking at the tables that might need updates to "correct" this issue but wondered if anyone had already gone down this road.
It can't be fixed from LD because the person_id and assignment_id no longer relate to anything. We need to close the award/project, but want to try to get this back in sync first.
