Beq columns in gl balances

Hi

We have a few BEQ columns like period_net_db_beq,period_net_credit_beq and begining_balance_db_beq and begining_balance_cr_beq.

suppose my functional curreny is GBP.

I make a journal  entry in GBP so will above columns will be populated?

If I make a USD entry based on currency exchange rate ,we will have 2 rows in gl balances.

I was hoping these BEQ columns will be populated only for the record corrosponding to USD (non functional currency) ,can someone confirm?

I also noted that the columns begining_balance_DB_beq and begining_balance_cr_beq  has values for the record corrosponding to GBP.
