How to process Contingent workers under Payroll Process

Hi,

Currently we have few contingent workers, who are being paid from AP directly. Now as the new process, business users want process the payment from Payroll and then transfer the entries to GL as we do for employees. But i couldn't find an option to choose Payroll for contingent workers.

so can any one please let me know, if there is any work around for this.
