Question on using VM replication and Essbase

We have Essbase v11.1.2.1.  We are setting up an additional backup recovery site.  Can VM replication/backups be used to copy the server images to the new DR servers.  We have Admin/Provider/Shared Services on a Linux Server and Essbase on Windows.  The new servers will have different server names but we can add aliases to match the current prod servers names.  We need a confirmation that VM replication will work ok to set up the new servers.   Will we have to make any changes to get the replicated servers to work with the new server names if the server alias names
