Database Install/Upgrade/Opatch (MOSC)

Upgrade Database from 11.1.0.7 to 11.2.0.3

Hi,

My Question has two parts:

1. I am planning to upgrade my production Oracle Database from 11gR1(11.1.0.7) to 11gR2(11.2.0.3) and OS from RHEL 5.3 to OEL 6.3, 

Specifically, I am considering to go with 11.2.0.3, so is this release a good option to go with? or should I also consider any other release 11.2.0.x

2. I also need to migrate my production database from Dell R710 to Dell Blade server, I am considering to install a fresh database 11.2.0.3 and restore my database through datapump, instead of upgrading the DB through DBUA. Pros and Cons of this approach.
