CRM SIEBEL DATABASE PREACTIVATION AND BACKUPDATES CAUSES INDEX CONTENTION!!!

Hi All,

Its a 3 node rac 11.2.0.4 with ASM OEL exadata.

I am facing index contention while backup updates from integration to crm siebel, i have observed that their are heavy insert and updates comes from the integration parallely causing index contention, Changes done are, increased the initrans to 50 and pctfree to 50 with freelist group 3.

Contention is observed on both insert and update. for insert its a direct insert no sequnece used. also identified a sequence and changed it to noorder and cache 6000.

Request suggestion.
