License Plate Next Number Shared between branches?

Client has 2 branches going live with License plating.  The LP segment definition is identical for both branches: Segment 1 Hardcoded with L. Segment 2-Container Code UDC. Segment 3-Next Number.

If the next number is "1" for each branch, will both branches be fetching from the same next number bucket? So if LP0001 is created in Branch 1, then Branch 2 creates an LP immediately after branch 1, will the next LP created be LP0002?  Is there any chance of duplication of LP between branches?
