Looking for Best Practices to prep for ODA patch upgrade 12.1.2.4 to 12.1.2.6

Good morning all,

We have 6 ODA appliances -- 1-x4-2, 5-x5-2's.   We are about to upgrade from 12.1.2.4.0  -- moving to 12.1.2.6 with EUL 6.x 

So the question is - what are the best practices to backup the O/S before these patches , backup the databases is of course a given,  but any other pre-work before we attempt the upgrade.

We know we have to pass through 12.1.2.5 -- so this will be a double hop.
