Release by Request Date

Hi,

We have a requirement where we would like to Pick Release by Request Date.  I know the standard functionality is to release based on the Schedule Ship Date even when you enter Request Dates in the Pick Release form.  Does anyone know if we have the capability to do this or if Oracle has any plans for a enhancement or is this a code change?

We are currently on R12.1.2
