Is anyone using Vertex to calculate Drink Taxes?

We currently have a custom process for controlling who has to be charged drink tax in our E1 software.  We will soon need to use the standard Vertex setup in E1 to control the calculation of drink tax on our invoices.  Is anyone in the community using Vertex for calculating drink tax?  If so, what values do you use for the tax explanation code and tax rate/area in the Customer Master (F03012)?
