Split opportunity revenue by month between two dates

We had a request from the customer to develop a report that will show the total opportunity split across the months from two input dates. 

For example -- if there is an opportunity that has a total revenue $1,000.  There are custom start and end dates that are associated with the with the opportunity.  The start date may be 1/1/2016 and the end date is 4/1/2016.  Over the 4 month period, $250 should be in each month bucket January - April.

The report would have a medium data set of opportunities and the start and end dates for each opportunity will vary.  Is this possible to do in CRM OD reporting?
