BI Publisher returning Message 39 whenever I try to load an XML file in Word 2010

I have loaded BI Publisher onto my desktop. Whenever I try to load an XML file in Word 2010, I get Message 39. I loaded BIP v11.1.1.7.1 for Windows 64 bit. I tried to confirm the compatibility, but could not find that information. Did I load the correct version of BIP?
