Looking for ideas to increase performance in Dispatch Board

We are using the Dispatch Board with the HI client in v15.6 and are having performance issues.  I have read the Bookshelf entry "Optimizing Display Speeds for the Dispatch Board (High-Interactivity Client)" and have tried changing the cache size but it seems to make little difference.  Does anybody have any other suggestions on how to increase performance?  It is taking about 30 seconds for the board to come up or change between screens in an average session.
