Oracle Database Appliance X5-2, ODA Version 12.1 with Oracle Linux 6 Certified by SAP


March 16, 2016: All SAP products based on SAP NetWeaver 7.x that are also certified for Oracle Database 12c Release 1 can now be used with the latest Oracle Database Appliance X5-2, ODA Version 12.1.

Only the Oracle Database can run on the Oracle Database Appliance (SAP 3-tier architecture). SAP instances have to run on different middle-tier machines of any hardware architecture and operating system.

Virtual release is not yet supported (bare metal only).
