Perform Clearance after Clearance Reset in RPM

The item's Original Retail is 99 and after series of MD it went down to 19.99. The item was later reset and the retail went back to 99. My question is would it still be possible to perform MD on the item? I am having the conflict error message below when trying to perform a new MD on a recently resetted item.

future_retail_price_change_rule24 - The effective date on future clearances must be before prior clearances reset date.

I do not understand why it is not possible to perform a MD on an item/loc that has already been reset.
