Looking for Help with Global Location Numbers in R47032 - EDI ASN Extract

Client sends EDI Advance Ship Notice to several customers, some of which use Global Location Numbers (GLN).  As indicated by Document 1493740.1 - GLN in Reports, I add the GLN value to the SHIP TO address on Address Book Revisions. I would expect the GLN to appear in the Transportation GLN field on the F47036 - EDI Shipping Notice Header - Inbound table.  However, the field was not populated in my test.  Can someone help verify that this is how the GLN's are supposed to work for the EDI ASN transaction?  Or maybe I'm missing a step, please let me know if that's the case.
