Sales order to work order linkage

Hello all,

We are facing an issue with trying to solution linking a sales order to a work order/batch to pass along special sales order instructions to production. We are using Process manufacturing but not using MTO. We prefer to be able to have multiple sales order per work order/batch to prevent the maintenance and overwhelming number of work order/batches to handle. We also may produce to stock under the same work order/batch. Current solution is to utilize the pegging in ASCP to create the link through the demand pegging. With the supply/demand picture changing constantly we have hit some road blocks
