Prerequisites--- Prior failure and In Progress
Here’s the scenario:
The student took calculus I last term and failed. The Student is currently repeating the class. The student tries to enroll in
calculus II in a future term but is unable to enroll due to the error that he does not satisfy the prerequisite (due to the failed calc I).
Prerequisite builds are decentralized on our campus and two colleges are reporting that in past terms the student would be allowed to
enroll despite the prior failure. They have made no changes to their prerequisites.
What is the expected behavior? Should the in progress class (calc I) allow the student to enroll in calc II or does the previous grade of F mean the student does not enroll in calc II?
